As I reached the island I was met by somebody on the shore. She said wait, you are welcome, truly. But nothing here is given and nothing here is yours to take.

Many roads lead to the interior and more than way through could lead you home. But with no cartographer there’s no option but to place your feet.

You are present but no more than a dreaming, a waking memory of something that once I knew I needed. But still...

At once an island, but something that had been here before. You said watch, you can see it coming. But nothing can be revealed to you until you let it go.

We are here just briefly and unbidden. The shore, the land, the cusp, the shore and ever on, ever on, repeating.

Endless is the giving because nothing here is yours to take.
